In today's Art world days 'Emerging Artist' is an over used term in the market but is generally defined as an artist in the early stages of their professional art career. The artists in this category are becoming known in the market. They are yet to have developed a significant auction record but are keenly collected and are often recipients of major art prizes and well respected by known commercial galleries.
