Bianca Bajkiewicz
My paintings are an emotional expression, an interpretation of tranquility, beauty with a zest of whimsical playfulness derived from my personal experiences from some of the most amazing corners of nature’s wonderland. For me it is a spontaneous creative act utilizing inventive tools to create an exotic form of mark making. My tactile methods stem from my sculptural development and has infused my painting techniques with an enhanced unique appearance, there is minimal if any use of a paint brush work. The flowing lines that create the shapes and hues of the composition are merely a vessel delivering an emotional visual narrative. Each medium creates a different texture, a powerful sensory reaction. Combined with my choice of provocative colours my paintings evoke a visual feast created with acrylic, oil, pastel and ink on canvas.
