Kristen Dyer b.1963
“This is one talented artist” stated Jon Dwyer at Kristen’s Tullurion exhibition in 2006, when the most respected fine art consultant in Australia makes such a comment its great compliment for any artist.
Kristen Dyers distinctive vision of subject is striking, her paintings have been described as ‘panoramic splendor’, they depict the luminescent southern sky and impenetrable landscape, the longer the viewer lingers over her dramatic palette, the more is revealed, lakes appear, and forests seem to grow before your eyes. The viewer’s gaze falls below the earth’s surface, where minerals are transparent, and shards of sunlight break the earth’s core and overcome the looming sky.
Achieved with layers of oil paint and pigments, Kristen titles her paintings after rock and mineral formations and fuses the elements seamlessly. Dyers work is distinct and easy for collectors to recognize, along with a string of awards and accolades, Kristen Dyer is also making wave offshore and we are very proud to represent her in Melbourne.
