I have always loved the Australian vernacular of “making do”, and I am a constant hunter/gatherer of interesting, rustic, disregarded objects. Living in a country town and observing the weathered landscape of my surroundings has been a huge source of inspiration. My work reflects a sense of humor and I guess a lack of all seriousness. My intention is to simplify form and give each sculpture or painting its own personality.
