Caroline Bartholomew
(b.1979)
Printmaker and painter
In 2002 I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors majoring in Printmaking from Canterbury University. Early 2003 I accepted an opportunity to finish my postgraduate studies at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne. Following the completion of my Masters, I returned to New Zealand to gain exhibiting experience and develop my teaching skills in an artistic orientated pursuit. I have since gained my official teaching qualification and have been enjoying the challenge and rewards of teaching Art at a secondary and primary level in New Zealand and England.
From 2006-2011 my husband and I traveled extensively while living and working in London. We are fortunate to have had access to a range of new experiences, different environments, cultures and opportunities, which contribute to our continued personal and professional development. We returned to New Zealand in 2011 and celebrated the completion of our first house and birth of our son Harrison. Now that we are settled back in NZ I personally look forward to extending my abilities as a practicing artist and art educator.
