Abby Innes b.1968
With an established career in the Architectural Industry preceded by studies in graphics and photography, Abby has always sought creative ways to express herself.
Yet it was not until the birth of her daughter, Zoe in 1998 that Abby was inspired to make a conscious turn to canvas.
Her paintings, beautifully layered and richly textured, might on first glance present a subject that appears sweet and demure and yet with a more careful study provokes impressions that are changeable, are a little darker and maybe more ominous in tone… perhaps not unlike the artist herself.
These impressions are all achieved through Abby’s heightened awareness of how subtle applications of shade, light, colour and sometimes typograpghy can in their own way impact on the mood of the occasion.
Abby currently lives in Melbourne, Australia
